My name is Sara. I guide cross-functional, cross-platform project teams with members across time zones.
Business priorities can preclude optimal accessibility. I want to help change perceptions about this so everyone, regardless of ability, has equal access to information. We can do it by cultivating awareness of rigid, zero-sum thinking, educating people about alternative approaches, and giving them the tools (and support) they need to make it work.
I have spent the last 5 years designing native mobile apps. Prior to this, I worked in recycling & sustainability, and in event ticketing serving as the design lead on the transformation of a non-responsive checkout experience into a responsive one. Through my work in B2B and B2C, I’ve come to understand how important it is to balance function and form – just because a product is beautiful or feature-rich doesn’t mean it can’t be easy to use. I try to reconcile these values in my work.
I’m more fascinated by technology than ever. And I’m definitely drawn to healthtech and digital health. Given the rate of change in this field, I’m excited to see what's next.
